Blood and Irons

Blood and Irons is the story of Denmark Turner, a young fugitive slave surviving the antebellum Deep South as he struggles to understand what he’s been unwillingly turned into: a vampire. As he masters his vampiric nature, he begins to see it as a path to freedom rather than as a curse. But when he learns the dark plans the vampires have for his fellow slaves, Denmark has to choose between freedom or helping his people, a choice made more complicated by the arrival of vampire hunters.
